I could go on and on but I think you see that I'm sold. With WYSIWYG my creativity has been unleashed and I can create more attractive sites in less time. I now have the power to put objects where ever I want them without using tables and/or CSS and/or HTML. I don't worry about CSS because it is hardly necessary.
so I don't miss it because within V.9 there are many widgets for that kind of thing. I have used PHP in the past but only for forms etc. Once you learn the basics, there is much freedom in Xara. I have used Microsoft FrontPage/Expression since it very first came out in the nineties and in using Version 9, I feel like I have been released from jail. Can I choose which scripting language my pages will be? For example, can I name my pages index.php instead of index.html Are the Menu's written in CSS or some other form? Is the CSS clean code?Ĩ. Does WD9P support Include pages? or have something similar?ħ. Can I design a website from scratch or use a Template and make it Mobile Responsive, without having to design a separate website for Mobiles, Tablets, etc?Ħ. Clean code/html - WD9P looks amazing and relatively easy to use but how clean is the html that the software produces?Ģ. Expression Web is great but has been discontinued and doesn't support HTML5.ġ. From what I've read so far WD9P seems a better option than WebPlus 7 and quite frankly I wish to steer clear of Microsoft web design software in future. I'm thinking of switching from MS Expression Web to Xara WD9P but have a few concerns.
